Thing #5: Flickr

I found that the vast majority of science pictures came from the life sciences instead of the physical science. I do a project with the Mac Books where students have to take pictures of themselves matching the motion of various force diagrams. They could easily use flickr instead of power point to attach their photos and submit them electronically. Flickr would also more easily allow them to use their cell phones to take the picture instead of transferring it via an expensive data plan. The image above was from an old science textbook and was free for anyone to use and does not require any attribution.
